Woodinville, WA
Current Forecast
June 7th, 2018 Forecast
Happy Friday!
Rain is already falling on the coast this morning, and will move inland as the day progresses. Your morning commute is safe from rainfall in the metro area, but the afternoon is likely to be a different story. Be prepared for wet streets for the drive home this evening. Also, remember to be cautious when driving in the rain when it's been a while since the last good soaking. Oil and other grime builds up on the roads, and the rain can cause it to become slippery.
The cold front responsible for the rain this evening will move through late tonight, and this weekend will be cool and showery in its wake. Thunderstorms could be possible at times as well, as the air mass will be left unstable after the front exits the area. Temperatures will be unseasonably chilly, daytime highs in the low 60's for most. Overnight lows will touch the mid to upper 40's, so also a tad chilly.
The mountain snow level is dropping quite low for this time of year, and the higher peaks and the mountain passes could see a small amount of snow. Snow level will be between 4,000-4,500ft over the weekend, so it will be chilly up there. Throw in the potential for a mountain thunderstorm as well, and some unique weather hazards will be present. If you have plans in the mountains, prepare accordingly.
We rebound on Monday, lingering showers will be tapering off, and it seems as if a brief period of warmer, sunnier weather will slide into place for the beginning of the week, with temperatures climbing closer to 70 again under mostly sunny skies. Models have been flip flopping on whether that will last through the remainder of the week, or if we settle back on cooler and showery weather again by midweek. Stay tuned for more information as we get through the weekend.
